PERSIAN DANCE
Ziba has a graceful and dynamic style, and a very strong stage presence. Her extensive repertoire includes classical and modern dance, character dance (baba karam), mime dance (raqse bazak), and the popular wedding knife dance (raqse chaqu). She also performs a number of regional dances which are stylised for solo performance (kurdi, chub baziye khorasani, mazanderani, bandari).
She has performed for the British Museum, the Courtauld Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Leighton House Museum, Ely Cathedral and Asia House, and has appeared on behalf of the Iran Heritage Foundation, Magic of Persia, the Nour Festival, the Jaleh Foundation, and many charitable and humanitarian initiatives. She has been featured on Manoto TV, Voice of America, and BBC Persia.
Ziba has shared the stage with a range of artists including Naser Kondazi, Jamshid Rezaie, Vida Edalat and the Saba Ensemble, Behnam Alipour and Ahoura, and the Kandoo band.
